And here we go. Chaotic Vortex, retro gaming goodness. Check out it’s page in the header link for the full info. To make it short: it’s a top down dual-stick arena shooter, which is a shooot-em’up were you control movement with one of the analog joysticks in your gamepad and use the other to control the fire direction (this is totally configurable in Chaotic Vortex, and you can use the keys and mouse for the whole thing). I won’t hide there’s some inspiration in Geometry Wars, but hey….every idea is based on some other, even if it’s not so obvious.
Other than that…well there’s a ton of enemies coming at you, some cool megabomb-type weapons to use, 4 player simultaneous mode, different scenarios and soundtracks and online leaderboards for competition.
And, if you’re an AROS fan: this will come for your beloved OS

Or may rule, as soon as it gets released. Here are 3 reasons to like the Pandora:
- Dual analog joysticks. This one seems such an obvious overlook in the likes of the PSP and DS, it’s hard to believe. Maybe Sony is still betting on it’s spectacularly ridiculous DualShock on PSP thing?? I mean, that’s the no.1 control method on the two decent consoles available (no, I don’t count the Wii as a decent console), it’s about time we have it on a portable console. Plus, it makes such a perfect target for my game
- Major computing power. Should totally kick PSP’s ass all over the place. In theory.
- Open development. Power to the homebrew guy! It’s the return of the bedroom coder!
Still, we’ll have to see how well it fares ‘out there’. Being technologically superior doesn’t guarantee you success, but that’s old news.

Welcome! First post ever on this here blog. So, to let you know a bit about this place: Kiritsu Games is a game development project started by me, Ruben Monteiro, your humble host. The goal is to create good games. Period. So what’s unique about that? Well for one, the plan is to support some alternative (another nice name for obscure) platforms such as the OpenPandora, or AROS. If that sounded like greek to you, know that our games will come out for PC as well.
Thanks for visiting and come back often!
