New Chaotic Vortex version release, now under the “Lite” class. Going on with the freemium model, there will be an Advance version that will be encouraged to buy, just to support this indie developer here
Changes in this update:
- Improved sound
- Added icon for the executable
- Corrected compression on one file (was wasting around 2Mb)
- Corrected uninstaller to delete game application directories
Just taking a break from hard work on a map editor that I’ll use for my next game. CV video has a 7.7 rating over at GameTrailers.com. Could you please go there and help pump up that value?
On other news, this blog has been updated to WordPress 3.
I’m happy to announce the release of the first alpha of Chaotic Vortex for Windows! (where are the dancing bananas emoticons when you need them?). So, head on to the game’s page to get it. I’d love to get some feedback, feel free to post comments on this blog. I guess I should also put my email address around here somewhere…
Also you might have noticed (or not) that a new link on the menu bar at the top. Chaotic Vortex: Void will be pretty much the Pandora (dual stick) version of the same game that will come later.
For now, it’s time to test and fix the PC version, and release the expansion pack later on. Have fun!
And yet it moves! Chaotic Vortex game play video for you. The PC alpha version will likely be released soon. Now, other of my life’s goals will be to get my hands on a Pandora. I mean the console. I’m already cooking an idea for my second game, but I should get this one out the door first. Let me know what you think!
An update on CV was definitely over due, so here are a couple of new screenshots. Actually, there’s more news to it, as I’ve remade the game’s idea from a dual stick shooter into something that you can play with your mouse. I figure most people don’t have a gamepad for their PC, even casual gamers, so it’s a best bet to go for a device that for sure everybody has. So the playability shifted to enemy avoidance, or basically, playing catch up with the enemy . I actually think the game is more unique that way.
Still, I plan to release a dual stick shooter version of the game for Pandora, so I could release that for PC as well, if there’s interest. Check the update at the game’s page.
